Refactoring source code can reduce migration cost/effort, but doing the refactoring manually does not.  To clarify: the effort of deciding what refactoring will be helpful is a manual effort, but we find it is always much more manageable, much more efficient, and much less disruptive to apply the refactoring with gmStudio.  gmStudio provides for scaleable, precise, and repeatable process for refactoring the source code as an integral part of the upgrade solution.
