The gmStudio distribution includes a large set of system metalanguage files that play an important role in how it recognizes, interprets, transforms, and reauthors VB6 and ASP code. The following table describes these files.

  • Pre-Compiled files are referenced by the VB7Lang,.xml script which is compiled by gmBasic to create a the binary metalanguage repository, VB7Lang.VBI.  This binary repository is used by the tool during processing.
